Manhood is loosing ground on all fronts. From the outside, manhood is attacked as being toxic, irrelevant, in need of redefining, outdated, dangerous, etc. From within, men are faltering. They are failing to meet the standards of manhood that have been passed to our generation from those generations that have come before us. We are failing to fulfill our obligations to our wives and children. We are failing to meet our obligations to our communities. We are failing even our obligations to improve our own lives. The vigorous enthusiasm for life has left many men. Instead, these men meander from day to day in a trance. The spirit of so many men has been broken, the passion snuffed out. Many men find themselves caught in a perpetual loop of average, mundane, predictable lives. There is no more adventure. There are no more battles. They ignore their Beauty rather than whisk he away.
These men may be good guys, but they are empty, uncertain what has happened to the vision they had for their lives. They may be good guys but they are unhappy, unfulfilled and unmotivated. Somewhere along the way they lost their understanding of what it means to be a man. They lost their ability to embrace their masculinity and to live according to the code of manhood that has defined generation after generation of men for hundreds of years. There are two kinds of these men. The first is unaware that they are walking dead. They assume that the lives they are leading is as good as it gets. The second are aware that something is missing. They yearn for something but they don’t know what.
There is another way. There is the way of our forefathers. There is the way of men who lived bold, courageous, adventurous lives. There is the way of men who embraced their brothers and picked them up when they fell. There is the way of men that passed down knowledge to their sons and grandsons. There was a way of men who held themselves accountable to their brothers, their families and their communities. These men lived by a code. It is a code of manhood that defines how a man is to conduct himself in his affairs. It is a code of how to be fulfilled and driven by purpose. It is a code of manhood that has been passed down through the generations. The Man Guild was created to help men rediscover this code and to share its power with other men in their lives.
OUR MISSION:
To create a brotherhood of men working together in an effort to maintain the standards of manhood set by those generations of men who came before us. We accomplish this mission by:
Working to build meaningful brotherhoods of men joined in a common purpose of bettering each other.
Collecting and sharing access to the knowledge, resources and skills men need to better themselves and the lives of those around them.
Initiating young males into manhood through mentorship and rites of passage.

I am the Founder of, and a contributor to, The Man Guild. I began The Man Guild after taking on an intense interest in the transition of boys into manhood after interacting with hundreds of young men who seemed lost, unmotivated, confused, frail, empty and misguided. I observed that many of these boys were fatherless and had few examples of manhood in their lives. This interest was furthered by several life events including the birth of my children, the passing of my father, and the unexpected suicide of a school friend. Each of these events, in different ways, left me wondering, how it is we can shake of the haze men seem to be living in? Each of these events left me wondering how I could figure out more about myself as a man and help myself and other lead more powerful, intentional, fulfilling lives as men. That journey led me to the creation of The Man Guild.
While my journey continues, I hope to form a brotherhood of men who are willing to stand shoulder to shoulder to defend and promote manhood, to maintain the standards of manhood that have been handed down to modern men by those generations who have come before, and to act as examples of proud manhood for the next generation. My goal in creating The Man Guild is to form a legion of men prepared to forge a new life for themselves, awaken our masculine souls, and lead more fruitful, fulfilling and purpose driven lives. In doing so, we will improve the lives of those around us and help initiate the next generation of boys into manhood.

Listen each week as we dive into discussions about the ideas that created western civilization, the Judeo-Christian world and the American Republic. We will get into old ideas and current events. We will discuss building our community (The Citadel Brigade) and how you can take a stand against the culture of progressivism and modernism that is destroying the foundations of our world. We will get into a wide variety of topics important to you as a child of God, spouse, parent, patriot, community leader, business owner, bread winner, and the like. Our goal is to EDUCATE, MOTIVATE so that you can TAKE ACTION and be one resource amongst many in the fight for liberty, faith and tradition. Hopefully, we can also entertain you along the way. Our primary objective is to engage you and make you think about your role in the new counter-culture and what that means in relation to issues big and small.
